After spring must come....

This time in Sweden is very uplifting. After a long and cruel winter, the times are finally changing. Every day the sun goes up a few minutes earlier, and descends a few minutes later. We have already gotten to the point where there is still light outside at 6pm!!! And to top that, the sun is actually out almost every day, and temperature is slowly rising. I can even hear the birds singing again. It's impossible not to feel inspired at this time.

I know that when the sun is still shining at 9 or 10pm here, that will be the time of the year to pack my bags and move to Tanzania for 6 months! It will be a wonderful wait, the spring really makes the countdown with me.

One week ago me and Livia got an email from our internship coordinator with the contract between the organization we will intern with, Simbas footprints, and our school. All that's left is for our contact person at the organization will sign it and then it's all done! So exciting, hoping that we will seal this as soon as possible.

We have also been discussing a lot about malaria prophylaxis. I don't want to take them, since I don't feel comfortable pumping my body with strong pills for such a long time. I have been contacting people who have lived in Tanzania for many years and they tell me that it's a good idea as long as i make sure to go to the hospital as soon as I feel the symptoms. I feel much more comfortable with that.

And one of Livias concerns has been how she can make a good cup of coffe at her house when she will be there, and since I don't drink coffee I have been trying to ask random people about this aswell

Other than that it's a lot of day dreaming about this experience we will have, like riding horses on the slopes of Kili, dancing at the clubs, walking the streets and getting to know new people. I couldn't be more excited, and I'm sure Livia is feeling the same way.

We are also excited for the actual project, although we are not quite sure yet how to go through with it, but hey, can't be too hard?

But for now, it's time to focus on my studies here in Malmö. If we wouldn't pass this semester, we can no longer go to Tanzania since we won't have enough points as needed to be allowed to go away on an internship.

So wish us luck!

Ciao
